PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

CALL FOR ENTRIES

All entries whether from film or digital original must be submitted as matted prints.

Acceptable print-matte sizes are:

8x10" print in 11x14" matte

11x14" print in 16x20" matte

(note, these are standard print and pre-cut matte sizes)

All entries must be accompanied by an official entry form which may be downloaded from the WWW.SFORCHID.COM website as a PDF file.

Entry form must be securely attached to the back of the backing board. Entries will only be accepted between February 1, 2009

and February 17, 2009. Judging will be held on February 26nd and prize winners will be announced at the Premier Party. By signing

the official entry form exhibitor agrees to license SFOS to scan and publish winning entries on website, newsletter and other

applicable print media.

Entries returned only if accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope. All entries NOT accompanied by return envelope

become the property of SFOS However, all entrants retain copyright of their entries. SFOS will exercise due care with all entries

GIVEN IN EACH OF 3 CLASSES

CLASSES:

PORTRAIT

Orchid flowers against a void background. Flowers must predominate.

IN SITU

Orchid Flowers against a natural background. Flowers must predominate. Includes

native or tropical orchids in habitat, naturalized orchids, orchids in displays or nurser-

ies, etc.

FANTASY

Anything that does not fit into above categories. Includes extreme close-ups,

abstractions, composites, all digital manipulation, etc. Recognizable orchid parts

must be dominant.

This is a blind judging contest, please do not have any recognizable signatures, logos or

watermarks on the front of print or matte. One winner per household per category.
