GENERAL
ENTRY RULES & AGREEMENT
Submission
of an entry constitutes an agreement to comply with all the rules of HAC and 63rd MIAMI INTERNATIONAL ORCHID SHOW & this prospectus.
Accepted artwork must remain in the exhibit for the duration of the show.
LIABILITY
All reasonable care will be given to artwork in the
exhibit; however Homestead Art Club of HAC and 63rd MIAMI INTERNATIONAL ORCHID SHOW are not responsible for any loss or damage.
ENTRY FEE
$30.00 for up to two pieces
Non-refundable
entry fee
Limit of 2 pieces of work can be presented for
entry. In juried shows there is the
possibility that some work will not be hung.
The member committee will be responsible for hanging of the show.
SALES
HAC now makes sales using
major credit cards. All checks will be
made to HAC. Sales tax will be collected
and paid by HAC. A 12% commission on work sold during the exhibit will be
retained. Payment for works sold will be
made within 4 weeks of sale by HAC.
HANGING
WORK - Framed artwork to be hung must have wire for hanging
or be gallery wrapped. No Sawtooths
– No Unfinished Edges. Plexiglas
preferred. PIECES NOT SUITABLY PRESENTED
WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE EXHIBIT.
SCULPTURE/and/or
3D work
Artist
must provide their own display. Because
of limits of size of exhibition room, larger 3d work may not be accepted.
DECORATIVE ARTS
Such as jewelry, etc. Must be able to hang on
display panels, such as a shadow box.
All artwork must be original
work of the artist submitting the entry The work to be submitted by the artist
is to be representational of Orchids.
The judges will be awarding on the merits of the artwork and not the
anatomical aspects of an orchid. The
work to be submitted can be oils, acrylics, watercolor, mixed media or 3
dimensional. Photography is a separate
category and will be run by another organization.

Shipping Information for out of town entries:
The hotel is no longer a Sheraton. We are waiting for
official hotel name, but for now we call it the Airport Mart
Hotel.
Regarding shipping, we can do it to Jean Frank's attention with a scheduled
amount of days it will be accepted, but it is strongly recommended your
art to be dropped off in person. We
can not guarantee the handling of the materials and would hate for something to
get lost or broken....
